Matthew's mom came in to share a book with the class. They had attended the Punkin Chunkin Festival where old pumpkins are hurled through the air with a variety of machines. Matthew demonstrated how the machines worked, and then Nicole read the book.
We also went on a rescue mission to get things that had been thrown over the fence. We got several balls and sandtoys, and that lead to new rounds of catch, basketball and football.
We went for a campus walk, finding some of the biggest leaves ever,
a pile of sticks that we used as a camp fire,
the tennis courts, where we played Chase the Gingerbread Boy,
and then on to a most glorious fall tree!
