At Morning Meeting, we were discussing how April made a model, and then used it to build her big house. We talked about how we could do the same thing, and we realized that we had lots of questions. Matt suggested that we ask a builder! Tamara asked if we knew any builders, and several children said that people in their families knew how to build an fix stuff! We are wondering if these builders and fixers could come into the classroom and teach us about building and tool and building materials, and maybe even help us with our projects. Together we wrote them this email:
Dear families who know how to fix stuff and Dave,
We are making a model house. And we need help. We're going to make a big house after the model.
They have to help us.
We have some questions:
How do you make a floor?
How do you make a door and a window?
How do you make a garage?
How do you make a car in a parking lot?
How do you make a trunk?
Where do you put the TV?
Please bring tools. You can add bricks.
Can you help us?
Sincerely,
The Turtles

On the playground, we made an obstacle course with a tunnel, hula hoops, climbing logs, up through the climber, over the table, and back to the beginning!
