We began our day writing our letter to the Abington Township about a building permit. Everybody was pretty sure that we needed one because when we visited Frank yesterday, he asked if we had one. Then, halfway through writing our letter, one of the Turtles asked, "What's a building permit?" We backtracked and talked about getting permission to build. The Turtles are excited about how official this process is!
At Choice Time, we did some more work on the model houses, building, mixing colors, and painting.
The Turtles have been talking at lunch about sharing food, and are interested in having a "Shared Lunch" day. We will arrange for this to happen early in February, but in the meantime, Tamara brought in a fresh pineapple to share. The Turtles were excited for this treat!

Danielle led us in a game of "Can you find..." using little picture cards of objects from around the playground. |
Outside we played on the playground for a bit before setting out for a walk to the big school.

We sang Nancy our song about houses, and then we taught it to her! |
|
She shared some animal crackers with us, and when one child noticed that they were running low, she had us help he refill the jar from the giant plastic canister! |
|
We ran into our friend Saiounia! |

A stick that is not a wand! |
